Provider routing

Choose which connected providers can handle a request.

Choose eligible providers

The provider object filters and orders the endpoint candidates for your requested model. Provider slugs refer to CyberRouter connections. When the connection is an aggregator, its own downstream routing and account settings also apply.

Connect the providers you include and confirm they serve the model. A filter can leave no eligible endpoints, producing no_endpoints.

Routing options

FieldBehavior
orderPreferred provider slugs, tried in order; unlisted candidates follow.
only / ignoreAllow or exclude providers by slug.
allow_fallbacksSet false to stop after the first candidate attempt.
sortAccepts price, throughput, or latency. Missing performance metrics cannot establish a speed ranking.
require_parametersExclude endpoints that cannot honor the requested parameters.
max_pricePrice ceilings such as prompt and completion, expressed in USD per single token.
data_collectiondeny excludes providers whose catalog policy is not explicitly none; unknown policies are excluded too.

cyberrouter.routing reports retained and dropped candidates with their reasons. cyberrouter.dropped_params reports omitted parameters on the serving endpoint.

Routing filters and data sharing are separate

provider.data_collection is a provider-selection filter. It does not change your account’s optional CyberRouter content-sharing preference or fee discount. Catalog declarations also do not replace your provider agreement or verify every downstream feature’s retention policy.

Read provider retention references before relying on a zero-retention requirement. A restrictive filter may make every current endpoint ineligible.
